Exciting news that needs to be shared! Work on the New Pedestrian Bridge to connect east, and west Sherwood has started!
Sherwood is moving forward with plans for a new pedestrian bridge that will span across Oregon Highway 99W, stretching from the Sherwood Family YMCA on Southwest Sunset Boulevard to the new Sherwood High School on Southwest Haide Road.
City staff and designers recently held a kickoff meeting to discuss plans for the new bridge, which is expected to allow high school students and other pedestrians to cross above the busy state highway.
