I have been doing a lot of research on the COVID-19 as well as working hard to stay current on our ever changing understanding of the epidemic and it’s impact on our community. The purpose of this site is to point you to reliable information about the COVID-19 Outbreak. The media puts a lot of emphasis on the raw number of people effected. Thank you, Mayor Mays! City Sherwood Mayor Mays, joined by the Mayors of Tualatin and Durham, sent a letter to the governor asking for an accelerated opening of Washington County.

When Will Washington County Open?

Our neighbors, Yamhill County, has been approved by the governor to start re-opening along with 27 other counties. Every county in Oregon except for the three metro counties have submitted there plans to the state. Meanwhile, Washington County has not applied and said it wouldn't be ready until early to mid-June.
